So far, two 1-seeds have been eliminated: Syracuse and Kansas

I wish I had some insider information. On Selection Sunday, Dicky V and the rest of the Council of Trent acted like Onuaku's injury wasn't serious. How many of you knew he was hurt this bad and would miss 3+ games?

That really puts a damper on the tournament. I guess if you knew and that's why you took Butler, then props to ya. Otherwise, congrats on the dumb luck. Sorry, but this has been a pretty lame tournament to this point. It zaps my inspirational drive.

Well, let's put 2010 into a snapshot of photos...

Who Am I?

I'm Ali Farokhmanesh (pronounced fuh-ROKE-muh-nesh). I drained a 3-pointer that put our team up on Kansas by 4 with 35 seconds left. I know George Mason beat 1-seed UConn back in 2006 to reach the Final 4, but I think this is the earliest a mid-major has ever knocked off a 1-seed.
I'm Kentucky's #1 fan. I'm an actress; daughter of Naomi and sister of Wynonna.
Call me Tweety
Shelvin Mack, "We're not sorry we busted up your bracket"
Pac-10 conference player of the year Jerome Randle.
DeMarcus Cousins. I was going to play at Memphis, but when Calapari went to Kentucky, I decided to follow him. I'm going to win an NCAA Championship as a Freshman.
Ryan Wittman, Cornell Big Red. I was Ivy League conference player of the year.
Remember NBA player Glen Rice? I'm his son, Glen Rice Jr.
JaJuan Johnson helped Purdue advance to the Sweet 16 without Robbie Hummel; many predicted they may lose in the 1st round to Siena. Purdue has 7 or 8 freshmen this year and Hummel, Johnson, Moore are all Juniors, so if they don't go to the NBA, watch out next year... this team could be scary... the matured baby boilers.
Freshman John Wall should be the top pick in next year's NBA draft.
This duo of Clemente and Pullen is one of the best backcourts in the nation. This is Clemente's last season.
Greivis Vasquez helped Maryland stuff Aubrey Coleman (the top scorer in the nation).
Matt Bouldin of Gonzaga won West Coast Conference player of they year, beating out Omar Samhan. It was a close race and Matt probably won because the Zags won the regular season title. But Samhan's team crushed 'em in the tourney championship and advanced further in the NCAA tourney (Zags lost in 2nd round to 'cuse).
Michigan State's Kalin Lucas was Big 10 Player of the Year in 2009. This year it was Evan Turner (pictured below). Lucas is hurt and out the remainder of the tournament, but his backup Korie Lucious (also pictured below) has been stellar.
Evan Turner was named Big 10 player of the year. He helped them advance past Georgie Tech, but looked selfish and sloppy in the waning moments of their loss to Tennessee in a solid sweet 16 game.
Korie Lucious hit a game winner vs Maryland, and had a sweet cross-over spin move in the last minute of MSU's victory over Northern Iowa (the cinderella who put Kansas to sleep).
Kalin Lucas, Michigan State.

1st round matchup of 13-seed Murray State vs 4-seed Vanderbilt. Here's a couple vantage points of Danero Thomas hitting the game-winning shot.

Armon Bassett of THE Ohio University Bobcats drives around Jerrelle Benimon. Bassett scored 32 en route to one of the biggest upsets in tournament history as the 14-seed upset the 3-seeded Georgetown Hoyas.
Omar Samhan. St. Mary's smashed the Zags in the conference championship, got into the NCAA tournament as a 10-seed and advanced to the sweet 16 after knocking off 2-seed Villanova, before getting slaughtered by Baylor.
